The Unique Finishing And Wear Resistance Of Titanium Rings
There are many kinds of titanium rings that work perfectly for a wedding. Some have sparkling stone settings; others have a more simple and classic design. Some have large black diamonds, and others colorful swirls of color within the titanium. Customers who wish for more than a solid band can get one that is sculpted or carved or with a precious metal inlay. Everyone should find the band he or she wants with the great variety that is available.
Of those with stones there are a few main setting types: prong, tension, and inset. Stones in the center of a prong setting can be one of several options. These include white cubic zirconia, red or purplish-red garnet, pale yellow citrine, purple amethyst, or white topaz. Rose quartz, turquoise apatite, green peridot and other colorful stones are also possibilities. Any of these can range in size from a smaller five to a larger seven millimeters. They can be either diamond cut or round faceted.
Set stones are typically smaller, for example, around two millimeters and are round in shape. In addition to those already mentioned for pronged centerpieces, set stones can also be madeira citrine, aquamarine, tanzanite, or assorted sapphire. Black and white diamonds or purple lolite also add color and sparkle to set combinations.
Classic designs are more simple yet elegant. They often vary in thickness, surface ridging or indentation, and shine. Because the surface is mostly undecorated these are perfect for engraving. Engraving can be done either on the outside or inside, and in many different types of fonts. Personalized messages can be included, in addition to symbols, such as hearts.
These rings have very apparent finishing. With polishing they are given extra shine. Polishing with clear diamond treatment gives shine in addition to a five fold increase in wear resistance. Satin finishing is less shiny and has more of a brushed texture. The satin finishing can also be protected with clear diamonds for resistance. Black diamond treatments offer the highest resistance of all and give rings a darker color.
Some models come with an anodizing colored design on their surfaces. Colors can be gold, spring green, blue, teal, purple, or magenta. The designs can be as simple as lines to more complicated flower patterns or swirls. Enamel color in blue, red, or black added to titanium surfaces gives uniqueness.
Of the sculpted and carved varieties, they can be in the style of oriental, celtic, geometric, or urban. Celtic ones may be overall wavy in shape or have a complex interlocking pattern. The urban bands can have interlacing rings, be pounded for textural effect, or highlight rock, leaf, or wave designs. Oriental rings are adorned with symbols that represent messages like karma, happiness, and serenity. Geometric styles may be shaped like a pentagon, prism, hexagon, or square. Adding precious inlays of gold, platinum, silver, or combinations of these are additional options.
Whatever the customer is looking for in a titanium ring, there are many types available to suit different unique preferences. There are simple bands that can be engraved with a meaningful message. Bands can highlight gems and stones. Colored titanium and precious metal inlays in addition to carved and sculpted models offer additional options.
