I Follow

Though my blog is new, I haven’t received many comments. I have been using dofollow since this blog was established, but I haven’t shown my support for the movement as of yet. Today that all changes. There’s nothing like giving back to those who’ve helped grow your blog from the beginning. Nofollow may be used to prevent spammers from gaining links from blogs, but with a little moderation there is no need to work about that.

I really hope that every person on this blog who is part of the dofollow movement is not a dofollow liar, or bloggers who say they’re dofollow, join dofollow lists, but in the end add the nofollow tag throughout their blog. Andy Beard, who discusses the dofollow movement throughout his blog, also wrote about dofollow & nofollow plugins for WordPress. I suggest you read the article in order to understand what you need in order to join the movement.

In order to show your commenters love for all the support they’ve put into your blog, why not give them a link back to their site AND their last post? In order for this to occur I would suggest using a plugin called Commentluv. I also use Keywordluv, which helps commenters improves backlinks and anchor text with each comment. I use these plugins on my blog and it definitely helps the dofollow process.

To show your support and become part of the dofollow movement, you can grab a badge, join dofollow lists, and comment other dofollow blogs (no spamming!). To give you an idea of how serious this movement is the original D-list was started by Colleen back in April 2007. Now that the movement has grown to much bigger proportions, I’ve put together a list of blogs that have a dofollow list of blogs (use them to your advantage):

DoFollow Commentluv/Keywordluv Blog List
The No More NoFollow Movement List
Greg Boser’s DoFollow OPML Project
Nickoo Shore’s DoFollow List
Tricia’s DoFollow Bloggers
Courtney Tuttle’s D-List
Free DoFollow List
Zetrys’ Friends

There are also several dofollow directories that list blogs and websites that are dofollow:

DoFollow Blogs Directory
DoFollow Blog Directory
DoFollow Directory
Blogs That Follow
Follow List

How about a dofollow link exchange site? Well I have several available to you right here:

DoFollow Link Exchange

If you want to search for dofollow blogs, I’d suggest using these search engines:

DoFollow Searcher Tool
DoFollow Diver
Backlink Spot

There are also pagerank “experiment” sites that have a decent pagerank that link back to your site. Nothing wrong with link juice from a site dedicated to pagerank:

Pagerank 10 Links
Page-Rank 10
Page-Rank10
10 Pagerank
Pagerank 10

Lastly, once you’ve built up a reputation and a decent amount of links, pagerank, etc. you think you can rank with top blogs? Find out my listing yourself here:
