Free From Broke Contest

My personal finance tipping point was when I first entered college last August. I was a freshman with just enough money to pay for my books, first month’s rent, and food, but didn’t have a car or enough money to last the entire year. I realized at that point that I was going to enter a world of debt since my only alternative to survive was to take loans and have a job. Though my job won’t be able to pay off all my loans over the next 4 years before I leave school, I realize that I’ve started to feel the financial effects of an adult.

Free From Broke is running a contest to win a $25 Amazon gift certificate. There are several ways to enter:

  1. Leave a comment here your personal finance tipping point (worth 1 entry)
  2. Subscribe either to the RSS Feed or via email (worth 5 entries)
  3. Write about your personal finance tipping point on your blog and link back to the post here. (worth 10 entries)

For complete information about the contest, make sure to visit the blog post. This contest ends on June 13th at 11:59am. Get in while you can!

Welcome to adulthood! Isn’t it grand?

That you know you are going to have debt you can make plans now as to how to get rid of it. For many, they don’t realize how bad debt will be until they already have a lot of it.
