Breeches
Broadly speaking, four different types of riding breeches: knee patch, the Full Court of the jockey and riding breeches. Other types are available, small differences in these four types. Show jumpers usually wear a patch on the knee breeches that will help them to jump while in a difficult catch. Dressage riders prefer a full seat breeches, which will enable them to hold their position while riding and showing.
Some knickers came down to the ankles, others only as far as the calf area. Each type of breeches has a different style and suits based on the skill levels of riders. The length of the shirt depends on the rider’s preference for long or short boots. Sometimes the pants too suede patches inside the knee, and at other times of the suede goes through and around the buttocks. Then walk a few knickers with straps that will keep them closely under the boots. The type that is necessary depends on the type of riding you enjoy, and the type that you like best.
