RIM’s annual Rim Developer Conference, Boss Mike Lazaridis finally revealed BlackBerry’s new tablet – the PlayBook. They referred to it as being the very first multiprocessing and multi-tasking professional tablet.

Playbook is dealing with the Rim tablet OS that is produced by RIM’s software company, the QNX technology. Playbook works with many different platforms and technologies like POSIX OS, SMP, Open GL, Rim 6, Webkit/ HTML5, Java, Adobe Expensive and AIR in addition to RIM’s new Rim WebWorks platform. Named because the “quickest tablet ever” by Research In Motion Sales, Rim Playbook has 1GB of RAM, 3 megapixel front-facing camera together with a 5 megapixel rear lens for interactive video, and Cortex A9 dual-core 1 GHz processor meaning it’s “horsepower” for multi-tasking. The PlayBook will manage to 1080p HD videos, and outfitted by having an High-definition multimedia interface port in addition to a microUSB jack, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-fi compatability, and Bluetooth 2.1.

Rim Playbook may also do video playback entirely 1080p HD, H.264, MPEG, DivX or Wmv file. It’s also capable with audio playback for MP3, AAC, and WMA.
